FDM material
PA6 (Nylon 6) 3D Printing
The classic engineering nylon and the toughest unfilled grade we print. Best impact and fatigue resistance of the polyamides, but also the highest moisture uptake: parts gain toughness and grow slightly as they absorb humidity. Choose PA6 over PA12 when toughness matters more than tight dimensional stability.

PA6: common questions
What is PA6 good for?
PA6 is a common choice for gears & bushings, impact-loaded brackets, snap-fits & clips, wear strips.
How strong and heat-resistant is PA6?
Printed PA6 parts have a typical tensile strength of 60–75 MPa and heat resistance of ~110 °C. These are typical values for printed parts in the XY direction; strength between layers is lower, so orientation matters for loaded parts.
How big a part can you print in PA6, and how fast?
Up to 350 × 320 × 325 mm in one piece; larger parts are printed in sections and joined, after a review. Production takes 2-5 business days, and rush service is available.
