FDM material
PA11 (Nylon 11, Bio-Based) 3D Printing
Bio-based nylon made from castor oil. Behaves much like PA12 (low moisture uptake, excellent chemical resistance) but with higher elongation and better impact resistance at low temperatures, so parts flex and survive drops instead of cracking. Pick PA11 over PA12 for ductility or a renewable-content requirement.

PA11: common questions
What is PA11 good for?
PA11 is a common choice for impact-resistant housings, cold-environment parts, flexible clips & hinges, sustainable product designs.
How strong and heat-resistant is PA11?
Printed PA11 parts have a typical tensile strength of 45–55 MPa and heat resistance of ~90 °C. These are typical values for printed parts in the XY direction; strength between layers is lower, so orientation matters for loaded parts.
How big a part can you print in PA11, and how fast?
Up to 350 × 320 × 325 mm in one piece; larger parts are printed in sections and joined, after a review. Production takes 2-5 business days, and rush service is available.
