FDM material
PA12 (Nylon 12) 3D Printing
A long-chain nylon that absorbs roughly a third as much moisture as PA6, so dimensions and stiffness hold steady across humid and dry environments. Slightly lower strength than PA6 but much better precision, low friction, and excellent resistance to fuels, oils and greases. The grade of choice for precise functional nylon parts.

PA12: common questions
What is PA12 good for?
PA12 is a common choice for precision functional parts, fluid & fuel line fittings, enclosures with tight fits, sliding components.
How strong and heat-resistant is PA12?
Printed PA12 parts have a typical tensile strength of 45–55 MPa and heat resistance of ~90 °C. These are typical values for printed parts in the XY direction; strength between layers is lower, so orientation matters for loaded parts.
How big a part can you print in PA12, and how fast?
Up to 350 × 320 × 325 mm in one piece; larger parts are printed in sections and joined, after a review. Production takes 2-5 business days, and rush service is available.
